Wonthaggi RSL is a small traditional Sub-Branch, operated by a small dedicated team of veterans and volunteers whose aims are to service the veteran community through operating the Bass Coast Veterans and Dependents Welfare Centre, for Welfare and Pension requirements and also to serve the commemorative needs of the local community. The Sub-Branch does not offer the facilities of a Licensed Club but has a large hall with very good kitchen and parking facilities. This venue is available for hire and use for community activities. Bingo operates from the hall in Graham Street, Wonthaggi every Saturday night. The Sub-Branch provides public internet computer access with four dedicated computers and has a library of 900 reference books covering military history and technology. Pension and Welfare staff also arrange and operate the Vietnam Veterans, Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Luncheons which are held three/four times a year at RSL venues in Bass Coast and South Gippsland. Inquiries from veterans to attend are most welcome.
