The conference featured:

RSL Victoria welcomed two new members to its executive board as a result of the elections. Lindsay Guerin from Inverloch RSL Sub-Branch and John Beslee from the Seaford RSL Sub-Branch. RSL Victoria’s State President, Dr Robert Webster OAM, was elected for a fourth term at the conference. These terms commence at the conclusion of the conference.

Of today’s event, Dr Webster said, “The Annual Conference is an important part of the League’s governance, and I thank all of those who participated in and observed the conference.

Being back at Caulfield Racecourse and holding a primarily face-to-face conference was a joy. Mateship and supporting each other is what the RSL was founded on, and today’s conference was an opportunity to connect, collaborate and catch up with friends from across the state.”

First established in 1916, RSL Victoria’s primary objectives are to provide support to veterans and their families, acknowledge Australian Defence Force service and perpetuate its patriotic duty whilst encouraging conversation and mateship between those who have served and their communities. A crucial role of the RSL is also to appropriately commemorate those who have suffered and died in service of our nation or its allies.
