Updates to State Executive after election process

Further to our update about elections for President at the 2025 Annual State Conference, the Independent Returning Officer (from Grant Thornton) has conducted eligibility verification on all candidates nominated for this year’s State Executive elections.
Nominations were called for the position of State President, State Honorary Treasurer and one position each of State Executive Member (Metropolitan & Country) with the respective term commencing immediately at the conclusion of the 2025 RSL Victoria State Annual Conference, Saturday 12 July 2025.
These are the nominated candidates:
State President:
- Mark Schröffel
State Honorary Treasurer:
- Timothy Holden
State Executive Member (Metro):
- Eamon Hale
State Executive Member (Country):
- Lindsay Guerin
The Independent Returning Officer has noted that no positions are contested in this year’s ballot.
Therefore, consistent with the provisions in State Branch Rule 10.3(b), the nominated candidates will be duly elected, with the respective term commencing immediately at the conclusion of the 2025 Annual Conference, Saturday 12 July 2025.
Congratulations to all those elected, with a special mention to Eamon Hale who will join State Executive for the first time.
Eamon served in the Army from 2004 to 2017 and has been an Army Reservist since that time. He served in various overseas operations, including multiple deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Eamon is President of Region 1, a past President of Hawthorn RSL Sub-Branch and was part of the RSL Victoria Royal Commission Working Group.
