In attendance at the event were Victorian Minister for Veterans Natalie Suleyman MP and Member for Lara Ella George MP.
The card entitles all past and present ADF members living in Victoria to discounts and benefits, including:
- $100 off light vehicle registration
- Free trailer and caravan registration
- Free marine licence
- Fishing licence exemption
- Free transport on ANZAC and Remembrance Days
Minister Suleyman said, “We’re incredibly proud to provide Australian Defence Force members in Victoria with essential support and benefits. Nothing can repay the debt of service but the Veterans Card is our way of saying thank you.”
Member for Lara, Ella George added, “A veteran’s contribution doesn’t end when they leave the Defence Force – we want to support them through the next stage of their life and easing the cost of living is one way we can help.”
