Title of the Position: Senior Program Manager, AWS Expansion

Hours/Type: Full-Time

Location: Melbourne

Role Summary/Brief Description: The Program Manager will be responsible to develop long-term plans and work backwards from strategic objectives to build execution plans.

They will coordinate across AWS partner teams and interface with government customers to drive and support new region planning and proposal activities.

The right candidate will understand how to work across organizations to coordinate planning, leverage capabilities, and apply resources to enable data center region builds, launches, and current operations.

The candidate must hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engaging business development teams to pursue new business
  • Develop and maintain near- and long-term staffing plans and hiring strategies that align with data center build and launch schedules
  • Plan and oversee budgeting of capital expenditures and operating expenses in line with management target
  • Deliver innovative approaches to meet complex challenges by interacting with business partners (e.g. Finance, Human Resources and Recruiting)
  • Create and maintain metrics and visual dashboards that inform senior leader decision making cycles
  • Employ statistical and predictive analysis to produce models to guide near-term decision making and strategic planning

Skills and Experience:

  • A strong technical background is required to produce concrete specifications and work closely with engineering to drive implementation.
  • You will have the chance to utilize your experience in platform level products and services to define our product and business development strategy and drive the business with a full scope of ownership. You will own the relationship with our government customers, product planning, roadmap and feature definition as well as pricing, and P&L optimization. You will own the marketing in positioning, promotion, and sales enablement. You will work directly with other senior leaders of customer organizations and partners, iterating on our product vision and driving business development.
  • In this role, you will be at the forefront of cloud technologies with interactions across the full breadth of AWS services.
  • You will need experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product and experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Skills should include the ability to build and hold executive partner relationships and contract knowledge in Public Sector IT market. *
  • Experience is required in dealing with public sector executives, enterprise agreements, and prime and subcontracting partnerships.
