Remembrance Day Bugle Activation 2025

RSL Victoria’s annual Remembrance Day Activity, the CBD Bugle Activation, is returning in 2025.
Traffic will be stopped across Melbourne’s CBD, as buglers will sound the Last Post and the Rouse from 11am to 11:02am on 11 November.
The Melbourne CBD pauses every year Remembrance Day in honour of our fallen soldiers. The Bugle players will be posted at multiple intersections, listed below. The Last Post will be followed by the traditional one minute’s silence, with buglers then playing the Rouse to close proceedings.
Intersections include:
- Bourke and Spring Sts
- Flinders and Swanston Sts
- Swanston and Collins Sts
- Bourke and Swanston St
- Elizabeth and Bourke Sts
- Swanston and LaTrobe Sts
- Collins and Russell Sts
- Collins and Spencer Sts
- Swanston and Lonsdale Sts
- Elizabeth and Lonsdale Sts
- And outside the County Court of Victoria (no road closure) – 233 Williams St.
