Bull Allen Memorial Open Fours Bowls Tournament
The Ballarat RSL Sub-Branch invites our community to the annual Bull Allen Memorial Open Fours Bowls Tournament, held in honour of local Ballarat serviceman Leslie “Bull” Allen.
The tournament commemorates Bull Allen’s extraordinary service as a stretcher bearer with the 2/5th Battalion during the Second World War, and continues a tradition established in 2021 to honour his legacy in the lead-up to ANZAC Day.
The tournament will be held on Sunday 19 April 2026, commencing at 1:00pm at the Ballarat RSL Sub-Branch, co-located with the Midlands Golf Bowling Club. With the opening of the club’s new bowling green in late 2025, the 2026 event will now accommodate up to 32 teams competing across sixteen rinks.
Entry is $60 per team, with prizes and trophies awarded on the day. Afternoon tea is provided, and all funds raised will be donated to the Ballarat RSL Sub-Branch to support its ongoing work with veterans and their families.
