Sub-Branch matter referred to State Branch Tribunal for independent hearing
RSL Victoria recently received a request from a Sub-Branch to refer a member matter to the State Branch-level Tribunal. The RSL in Victoria operates under a federated model, with each Sub-Branch managing its own daily operations and matters relating to their members. From time to time, issues may arise between a Sub-Branch and a member.
If an issue cannot be resolved at Sub-Branch level, the Sub-Branch has the option to refer the matter to the State Branch Tribunal. In such cases, the issue is addressed through an independent and confidential tribunal process that is member-led and which operates in strict accordance with RSL Victoria Rules and By-Laws.
Tribunal proceedings are governed by the organisation’s standard protocols and, to protect the integrity of the proceedings and privacy of all involved, RSL Victoria will not be providing further comment on this matter.
