Positions Vacant | State Executive Committee and Sub-Committee Memberships
RSL Victoria’s State Executive is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) for a vacant appointed position on the State Executive (RSL Victoria Committee of Management) and for vacant positions within its Sub-Committees of Veteran Affairs, Finance, Governance, Audit & Risk and Property.
The State Executive recognises the importance of recruiting individuals who understand the needs of the diverse veteran community. The ideal candidates will have skills and experience that complement our existing skillset and diversity and can enhance the oversight of the organisation while supporting the achievement of the strategic goals.

Additional Appointed Member of State Executive Committee (STEX)
NOTE: As State Executive roles are direct appointments, experience serving on a Sub-Branch committee is not a requirement.
Selection Criteria
Expressions of interest are welcomed from all veterans, with priority given to:
- Female veterans
- Those with service post-2000
- Those with experience in:
- Financial literacy
- Fundraising
- Legal Technology/IT
Time Commitment – STEX
One day per month as a minimum (State Executive meeting), plus participation in one Sub-Committee half day per month.
Additional meetings by request conducted either in person or online.
Allow time for reading of papers – half-day per month.
Additional Appointed Member of Finance Sub-Committee
Selection Criteria
EOI are welcomed from all veterans, with priority given to:
Female veterans
Those with service post-2000
Those with experience in: Financial literacy Investment management Fundraising
Additional Appointed Member of Veteran Affairs Sub-Committee
Selection Criteria
EOI are welcomed from all veterans, with priority given to:
- Female veterans
- Those with service post-2000
- Those with experience in:
- Frontline service delivery within a community setting
- Health and wellbeing
- Veteran advocacy
- Commemoration
Additional Appointed Member of Property Sub-Committee
Selection Criteria
EOI are welcomed from all veterans, with priority given to:
- Female veterans
- Those with service post-2000
- Those with experience in:
- Legal
- Construction
Additional Appointed Member of Governance, Audit & Risk Sub-Committee
Selection Criteria
EOI are welcomed from all veterans, with priority given to:
- Female veterans
- Those with service post-2000
- Those with experience in:
- Governance
- Risk management, audit and compliance
- Technology/IT
Time commitment – Sub-Committees
- Mainly one meeting per month (exception Sub-Committee Governance, Audit & Risk, which meets seven times a year).
- Additional meetings by request, conducted either in person or online.
- Allow time for reading of papers – half-day per month.
