A MESSAGE FROM RSL VICTORIA STATE PRESIDENT DR ROBERT WEBSTER OAM.

With great sadness, we woke to the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passing. Within the RSL, we not only mourn the loss of our Queen but also our patron of more than 70 years.

The RSL will never forget Her Majesty’s commitment, encouragement and support for our veterans and service personnel.

On behalf of the RSL in Victoria, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth’s family.

As a mark of our respect and mourning, flags at RSL Sub-Branches across the state will be flown at half-mast, and official portraits of Her Majesty will be draped in black.

Valé Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

RSL Victoria

First established in 1916, RSL Victoria’s primary objectives are to provide support to veterans and their families, acknowledge Australian Defence Force service and perpetuate its patriotic duty whilst encouraging conversation and mateship between those who have served and their communities. A crucial role of the RSL is also to appropriately commemorate those who have suffered and died in service of our nation or its allies.
