Where the Government stands
Why these recommendations matter

RSL Victoria sees firsthand the impact of policy gaps on veterans and their families. The Royal Commission’s recommendations are not theoretical; they are essential for meaningful change.

While all recommendations are important, immediate action is critical on these five high-priority areas, which remain stuck at the ‘agree in principle’ stage:

The Government has not supported Recommendation 90(a), which would remove the service differential for permanent impairment compensation.

RSL Victoria urges the Government to reconsider and ensure fair compensation for all veterans, regardless of when their injuries occurred.
