RSL Victoria Christmas & New Year Break

December 17, 2024

The majority of RSL Victoria staff will be on an eight-day Christmas break from 12:00pm Tuesday 24 December 2024 to 9:00am Thursday 2 January 2025.

General enquiries for RSL Victoria can be directed to RSL Victoria via re*******@rs****.au or 03 9655 5555, where you can leave a message that we will respond to after the Christmas break.

Veteran Central and all Veteran and Family Wellbeing Hubs

Veteran Central and all Veteran and Family Wellbeing Hubs will also be closed during this period.

Veteran Central and the 1800 MILVET phone line will close from 12:00pm Tuesday 24 December 2024 to 9:00am Thursday 2 January 2025, when it will reopen to all enquiries.

In-person support from Veteran and Family Wellbeing Hubs will resume Monday 6 January 2025.

For urgent veteran support during the Christmas break time, immediate crisis support is available from OpenArms’ 24-hour counselling services, via 1800 011 046, Lifeline 13 11 14 or if life in danger, please contact triple zero (000).

For non-emergency matters that may arise during this time, callers are encouraged to leave a message, which the Veteran Central team will respond to upon their return in the New Year.

Please remember that RSL Victoria’s Veteran Central is not a crisis service and if there is a veteran emergency, urgent assistance should be sought from Lifeline, OpenArms or triple zero (000).

RSL Victoria

First established in 1916, RSL Victoria’s primary objectives are to provide support to veterans and their families, acknowledge Australian Defence Force service and perpetuate its patriotic duty whilst encouraging conversation and mateship between those who have served and their communities. A crucial role of the RSL is also to appropriately commemorate those who have suffered and died in service of our nation or its allies.
